New Delhi, Nov 18: Former prime minister Manmohan Singh Tuesday aforesaid Jawaharlal Nehru’s world view is relevant in each corner of the world.
“Nehru’s position has relevancy in each corner of the world these days. Essence of Nehru’s political philosophy is direction of each individual,” Singh aforesaid at a world conference here to mark the 125th birth anniversary of India’s 1st prime minister here.
“This conference isn’t simply a tribute to pt. Nehru, it’s a reminder of relevancy of his world view,” he added.
Crediting Jawaharlal Nehru for the “idea of mixed economy”, Singh aforesaid the co-existence of public and personal partnership was the end result of Nehru’s vision.
“Nehru saw socialism not simply as an economic rigid philosophy however as how of life,” he said.
