New Delhi, Feb 17: Finance minister P. Chidambaram Mon said that subsidies bill for food, fertilisers and fuel for 2014-15 are slightly quite the revised estimates for 2013-14.
“The expenditure on subsidies for food, chemical and fuel are Rs.246,397 crore. this is slightly quite the revised estimate of Rs.245,452 large integer in 2013-14,” Chidambaram said in his interim budget for 2014-15 given to the Lok Sabha.
According to Chidambaram, an allocation of Rs.65,000 crore has been created for fuel grant, and Rs.115,000 crore allotted for food subsidy.
Fertiliser subsidies are pegged at Rs.67,970 crore.
