hakimullah11Islamabad, November 2 Pakistan Taleban chief Hakimullah Mehsud was killed in a United States drone strike in the country’s North Waziristan Agency Fri, Geo News reported.

The Pakistan government, whereas refusing to verify Mehsud’ death, however, powerfully condemned the drone strike, that was carried out in the evening and killed a complete of six people.

“These strikes are a violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. there’s an across the board consensus in Pakistan that these drone strikes should finish.
Mehsud’s close aide Tariq Mehsud was also among the six killed.

Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan (Pakistani Interior Minister) refused to verify the death of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief in the drone strike.

Also, the TTP neither confirmed nor denied its chief’s death by the drone strike.

Baitullah Mehsud as TTP chief replaced with Hakimullah Mehsud after the latter was killed in a United States drone strike in 2009.

The latest drone strike targetted a compound of the TTP in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province’s Danday Dara Khel city, close to Miranshah city in North Waziristan Agency.

The Pakistan Taleban have also been demanding from the govt to get the United States drone strikes stopped before talks.

This was the 2nd attack since Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif visited the United States, wherever he demanded United States President Barack Obama to stop the attacks.
