Kabul, Feb 8: A total of 12 people were killed after a minibus plunged into a ravine in Afghanistan’s Saripul province, 350 km from here, police said Saturday.
“The ill-fated minibus was heading towards Kohistanat district from the provincial capital of Saripul town last (Friday) night once it plunged into a ravine, leaving twelve travellers dead,” Xinhua quoted provincial police chief Noor Habib Gulbahari as saying.
Two congested and 5 children were among the victims, he said, adding that the icy weather and congested road was the reason behind the tragedy.
