Ahmedabad, Apr 25 : The police have locked up eleven students of an engineering school in Anand, in central Gujarat, for allegedly gang raping a 20-year-old lady from the Union Territory of Daman.
The Daman police created the arrest on Monday from Anand following a criticism filed by the young lady.
The police reported the complainant had claimed that she had come back to understand the young men, all second and third year students of the Anand Engineering College, through the social media.
One of the youths, with a promise of wedding had lured her into coming back to Anand on Apr twenty one. Then, he took the young lady to the restroom hostel wherever his eleven friends took turns to rape her.
Later she was taken during a white car to Daman wherever once more she was repeatedly raped by a number of the boys before releasing her.
She lodged the grievance with the Daman police following that the police picked up the eleven students named by her. The police aforesaid medical tests had confirmed gang rape of the lady.
The arrested men, who were being taken to Daman, are charged with abduction and seizure, besides rape, the police reported..
