Mumbai, July 6: Pooja Hegde shall be making her debut with Hrithik Roshan-starrer “Mohenjo Daro”. Pooja Hegde got chosen for the “proper mixture of innocence, grace, dignity and energy” that the character demanded, says it is co-producer.
Written, produced and directed by filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, the epic adventure-romance is ready within the metropolis of Mohenjo Daro within the period of the Indus Valley civilisation which dates again to 2600 BC.
Produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Sunita Gowariker, “Mohenjo Daro” is slated to launch on August 12.
“Ashutosh has all the time checked out casting new faces as the feminine lead when he has wished somebody to utterly embody the character with none earlier picture connected to the actor themselves,” Sunita stated in an announcement.
Pooja Hegde added: “That’s the reason he forged Gracy for ‘Lagaan’ and Gayatri in ‘Swades’. We needed a brand new face for ‘Mohenjo Daro’ to play the chosen one — Chaani, for a similar motive. We locked on Pooja as we realised that she had that proper mixture of innocence, grace, dignity and power that the character of Chaani has.”
