Kolkata, November 5 India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni Tuesday expressed concern over the shortage of all-rounders in the side, saying the team required to search out someone like Ravindra Jadeja.
Dhoni said , “Now that we do not have Jadeja, we are thinking whether we should have a fifth bowler or play a batsman,”on the eve of the primary test match against the West Indies at the Eden Gardens here.
Dhoni also added, “We will have to find somebody for Jadeja is someone who will do the job. we want to have plans for now. we do not have many who will do the work,”
Jadeja has been rested for the two-Test series owing to a shoulder strain. He said the lack of all-rounders was an area of concern.
“It has been a bit of concern. we want a seam bowler or spinner who will bat,”.
Taking a pot shot at critics, Dhoni said: “At times we do not realise the importance of a player and often criticise and do not realise what impact he has on the team.”
