Greater Noida, October 25 The Formula 1 Indian Grand Prix organisers predict around 65,000 spectators for Sunday’s race however according to the most recent figures, near 40,000 tickets are bought.
The inaugural edition in 2011 saw an encouraging 95,000 turning up Sunday however the quantity fell drastically to 65,000 last year.
The event is fighting for survival when being dropped from the 2014 calendar.
“We are assured of reaching the number of last year. The remaining 2 days should see a price ticket rush,” a top Jaypee group .
