PARSPanaji, Nov 08: Laxmikant Parsekar, presently Goa’s health minister, are the state’s new chief minister, party sources aforesaid Sat.

His name was formally planned by outgoing chief minister Manohar Parrikar and seconded by Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza at the second meeting of party MLAs Sat. He are the state’s eleventh chief minister.

Parsekar’s campaigning has conjointly been supported by the highest decision-making body of the BJP, the parliamentary board, sources aforesaid.

He can take the place of currently former chief minister Manohar Parrikar who resigned from workplace once his elevation to the union cabinet, probably as defence minister.
