Congress stages protest in Delhi

MAKNew Delhi, April 06: The Congress party on Monday staged a protest against the Delhi and central governments for the “failure of the corporation” in providing salaries to the staff of the national capital’s civic agencies.

The protest was staged at the MCD office in Lajpat Nagar.

The protest was led by senior Congress leaders P.C. Chacko and Ajay Maken.

“We are protestant against the failure of the corporation to pay salaries to the MCD staff,” Chacko told.

Maken mocked AAP government in Delhi, that marked its fifty days in government, by calling it a “party of VIP and VVIPs”.

“AAP had claimed to be the party of commoner however currently they need become the party of VIP and VVIPs,” Maken said.
