MMMNew Delhi, Aug 13: The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday approved Rs.1,750 crore for strengthening drug restrictive systems at each central and state levels.

Of the quantity, an amount of Rs.900 crore will be spent on strengthening central structures and Rs.850 crore will be created offered to the state governments, said a cupboard despatch.

The restrictive upgradation can provide further equipment and work force to the prevailing drug testing laboratories, establish new labs for testing medicine, medical devices and cosmetics and introduce mobile drug testing laboratories, it added.

The upgradation additionally includes the creation of further hands for restrictive structures within the rising areas of somatic cell, regenerative medication, biologicals and medical devices.

Other measures embody introduction of organization wide e-governance and IT enabled/online services, fixing of a coaching academy for restrictive and drug testing officers for each central and state governments.
