Ankara, Aug 8,2016: Turkish President backs return of death penalty. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that he would approve the return of the death penalty if it was backed by parliament and the general public.

“If parliament accepts the reintroduction of death penalty, I’ll settle for it,” he informed the group, including that the death penalty exists within the US, Japan and “many different international locations”.

“If the individuals need death penalty, I believe the political events will even settle for it,” Hurriyet Daily News quoted the President as saying as Turkish President backs return of death penalty.

The dying penalty existed in Turkey till 1984.
