RA-MONew Delhi, Aug 14: Congress vp Rahul Gandhi on Friday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi ought to provides a specific date once his government was aiming to implement the One Rank One Pension (OROP) theme.

“The OROP as secure by the govt. should be consummated. The prime minsiter should provides a date,” he said at the Jantar Matar in central Delhi wherever he visited support complaintive ex-servicemen over the problem.

“If he guarantees to implement OROP by a selected date, the protests can finish. The PM has secure to implement OROP, he simply got to say one issue that it will be enforced by this explicit date,” he said.

Stating that Modi should have pondered the technicalities of implementing the OROP before “promising” it, Gandhi said: “These people have sacrificed their lives for the country. They need died standing on the border. they should be allowed to protest here.”

One of the protesting ex-servicemen’s wife turned furious as Gandhi came across the demonstration venue and tried to change the problem.

“We are complaintive for sixty two days, why did not he return earlier? Wherever was he all this while? We cannot allow our protest to urge politicised or get highjacked by politicians,” she said.

The OROP, if enforced, can profit twenty five lakh ex-servicemen.

Earlier, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal criticised eviction of ex-servicemen from a protest site here and urged the prime minister to just accept on the Independence Day their demand for OROP.
