RRRAizawl/Agartala, March 19: Congress vp Rahul Gandhi, who is on a visit to the northeastern states, has cancelled his visit to Mizoram on Wed visibleĀ  of the ongoing assembly session, a party spokesperson aforesaid in Aizawl.

“Rahul Gandhi was scheduled to address an election rally at Mualpui (near Aizawl city), Wednesday. He off his trip to the state visibleĀ  of the ongoing assembly session,” state Congress spokesman Thanglawra Ngurte told reporters.

Gandhi, who addressed an election rally in Arunachal Pradesh Tuesday, would conjointly speak at many election rallies in Meghalaya and Manipur Wed.

He addressed election rallies in Assam last month.

No schedule has however been declared to visit Left-ruled Tripura by any high Congress leaders to campaign for the party.

Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland and Meghalaya can go to polls April nine (second phase), whereas Manipur can see two-phase polling April 9 and 17.

Mizoram and Nagaland have one Lok Sabha seats every. Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Tripura and Manipur have 2 seats every whereas Assam has 14 Lok Sabha constituencies.
