Islamabad, November 2 Pakistan Taliban Saturday appointed Khan said Sajna alias Khalid as its new chief after a USA drone attack killed its former leader Hakimullah Mehsud in Pakistan’s North Waziristan region Friday, a media report said.
A meeting of the Pakistani Taliban’s Shura (Council) named Khan same Sajna as Mehsud’s successor, the Dawn reported .
Said, is credited with masterminding the 2012 prisonbreak in which the Taliban freed four hundred inmates in Bannu town, the report added.
