Kolkata, July 21: Traffic here came to a virtual standstill Mon as lakhs of Trinamool Congress supporters converged on the eastern metropolis from West Bengal’s districts for a mammoth rally in commemoration of Martyrs’ Day.
Hundreds snaked their thanks to the grand stage erected ahead of Victoria House at mall from wherever party supremo and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee addressed the throng. because the drizzle began, Trinamool umbrellas went up in the sea of people.
Waving flags raised with the party image, Trinamool staff walked from varied intersections of town, shouting slogans and created their thanks to the venue to concentrate to Banerjee’s address, wherever she repeatedly taught the participants to stay among the selected space.
