Malayalam actor-director Pratap Pothen has passed away. He was 70 years of age. According to the reports, Pratap was found dead in his apartment in Chennai. Confirming the death of the actor, a police officer said, as per initial reports, he had died of natural health causes but will investigate further. Mainly known for films like ‘Thakara’, ‘Chamaram’, and ‘22 Female Kottayam’, Pratap Pothen acted in over 100 films in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi film industries. Apart from being an actor, Pratap Pothen was also widely known among the audience as a scriptwriter, director, and producer.
