Agra, April 14: Actor-turned-politician Jaya Prada has hit out at Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav for opposing execution for rapists.
Campaigning for RLD candidate Amar Singh in the Fatehpur Sikri Lok Sabha constituency Sunday, she called Mulayam Singh’s remarks “unfortunate” and “shameful”.
“People can give a fitting reply (to him) in this election,” she said, addressing massive crowds during her roadshow.
Last week, actor Sri Devi campaigned for Amar Singh.
Amar Singh, whose party is allied with the Congress, is alveolate against BJP’s Choudhary baboo Lal, outgoing BSP MP Seema Upadhyaya, Laxmi Choudhary of AAP and Samajwadi Party’s Paklikshaka Singh.
