BJPindiaLucknow, November 4 Former politician and BJP leader Samarpal Singh was killed early Mon when his car rammed into a stationary truck in Uttar Pradesh, his family said.

Samarpal Singh’s driver and another person in the car suffered critical injuries in the accident, that took place close to Chotta Hasanpur village on the Meerut-Kithore road.

Samarpal Singh, 56, was considered a prominent face in western Uttar Pradesh.
Singh represented Barnawa constituency in the state assembly, having won on a Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) ticket in 2002.

Samarpal Singh joined the Bharatiya Janata Party during the 2012 assembly polls and unsuccesfully contested from Shivalkhas constituency in Meerut.
