Lucknow, March 04: Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav Mon said E.Sreedharan – the person behind Delhi metro – should be presented with Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honour.
At a foundation-stone giving birth programme here for the north-south passageway of the metro rail project, he befitting it was solely appropriate that India Ratna is presented on Sreedharan.

Sreedharan, was recently appointed adviser to the Lucknow metro project, addressed the gathering via video conference from his village in Kerala.
He said Uttar Pradesh has taken a right and inspiring call to require up the metro project in Lucknow and guaranteed that the project would be completed in time.
After laying the muse stone, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that when the metro starts running, the face of town can change forever.
He said one among the priorities of his authorities was to form a robust infrastructure.
The first phase of the metro is likely to be completed by 2017, officers said.
