Delhi Metro shuts two stations

METRONew Delhi, April 8: The Delhi metro Tuesday shutdown 2 of its stations here due to an expected religious gathering on a disputed land.

The two stations are Jor Bagh and INA, that fall on the Yellow Line, connecting Huda city center to Jahangirpuri.

“As advised by Delhi Police, the 2 metro station are closed for public from 10.17 a.m. till any instructions,” aforesaid a Delhi metro official.

The 2 metro stations were also shut March 31 for concern of deviltry when crowds gathered at the controversial website in the section of Delhi’s two historic monuments — the Lodhi Garden and the Safdarjang tomb.

Delhi Police Monday issued an advisory on a chance of some Muslim protestors staging demonstrations at many places against the acquisition of Kerbala land in Jor Bagh area.
