Hyderabad, Dec five Mexican multiplex chain Cinepolis is about to double the amount of screens in India next year. it’s about to open eighty new screens.
The Mexico-based company, that operates over 3,300 screens in eleven countries, opened its initial multiplex in Hyderabad. The five-screen multiplex has taken to 84 the amount of Cinepolis screens within the country.
Devang Sampat, Head – Strategy, Cinepolis, told that eighty a lot of screens are in numerous stages of fit-out and would be prepared in next six to 9 months. for each screen, the corporate is investment Rs.2 crore.
Cinepolis, the fourth largest multiplex chain in India, plans to own five hundred screens by 2017. Cinepolis presently has presence in thirteen cities and plans to expand it to thirteen a lot of cities.
Started in 2009, Cinepolis presently operates at Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bangalore, Bhopal, Hubli, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Mangalore, Mumbai, Patna, Pune, Surat, and Thane.
