Sensex trades-Mumbai, Jan 1: A benchmark index of Indian equities markets was trading flat at 26.30 points or 0.12 % up within the early morning trade Wed.

Good shopping for was observed in care, capital product and metal sectors, whereas selling pressure was seen in IT sector.

The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the S&P Mumbai stock exchange (BSE), that opened at 21,222.19 points, was trading at 21,196.98 points in the early session, up 26.30 points or 0.12 % from previous day’s close at 21,170.68 points.

The Sensex touched a high of 21,244.35 points and a coffee of 21,166.55 points during the trade up to now.

The S&P BSE care index gained 80.31 points, capital product index moved up by 53.37 points and metal index increased by 54.90 points. However, IT index dropped by 23.95 points.

The wider 50-scrip slap-up of the National stock market (NSE) was conjointly trading flat at half-dozen.70 points or 0.11 % up at 6,310.70 points.
