Ranchi, July 18: The authorities can install CCTV cameras in Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi to see raising crime, an official said on Saturday.
This followed a day when Chief Minister Raghubar Das summoned police chief D.K. Pandey and home Secretary N.N. Pandey and expressed unhappiness over rising crime.
“The chief minister has expressed unhappiness over the rising crime. He conjointly advised to put in CCTV cameras at vital places of Ranchi to stay a watch on the movement of criminals,” the official, desire anonymity.
Crimes like murder, robbery and theft have witnessed an increase in Ranchi.
Till March, twenty two robberies, sixty six kidnapping and fifty one murder cases were registered.
