New Delhi, Jan 15: The BJP Thursday filed a complaint with the election commission against AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal over his allegations against its Delhi unit president Satish Upadhyay.
Upadhyay, flanked by colleagues Prabhat Jha and Vijay Goel, submitted a notice to the commission, accusative Kejriwal of defaming him.
“He is deceptive people by levelling false allegations. we’ve got conferred all facts before the EC,” Upadhyay aforesaid.
Kejriwal Wednesday alleged a nexus between Upadhyay and power firms within the capital.
Kejriwal Thursday insisted that he had proof to support his claim and was able to face defamation charges from the Bharatiya Janata Party leader.
“We have proof that the electrical meters in Delhi, that run quick, are place up by firms owned by Upadhyay,” the previous Delhi chief minister aforesaid.
