Ranchi, Dec 26: Jharkhand is set to get its initial non-tribal chief minister with Raghubar Das elected because the BJP state legislature party leader Fri.
Das, a five-time legislator from East Jamshedpur, will be the tenth chief minister of Jharkhand.
BJP legislators met at the state party headquarters in Ranchi in presence of central oberservers J.P. Nadda and Vinay Sharsabuddhe to elect their leader within the state law-makers.
Neelkanth Singh Munda projected the name of Raghubar Das, that was seconded by 2 BJP legislators, C.P. Singh and Saryu Rai.
After being elected as party leader, Das told reporters: “The development of the state is priority. the event of all sections of the society will be priority.”
The BJP can stake claim to make the govt when meeting Governor Syed Ahmed later Fri.
The Bharatiya Janata Party-All Jharkhand Students Union alliance won a transparent majority within the assembly elections.
The BJP emerged because the single largest party with thirty seven seats, whereas the AJSU bagged 5 within the 81-seat assembly.
