PM Narendra Modi can take an aerial survey of cyclone-affected areas of Visakhapatnam district at 1.15 pm on Tuesday. AP Chief Minister N C Naidu has asked for spontanepous relief of Rs 2,000 crore for the state, and has requested the Centre to declare the cyclone a national calamity.
Five IAS officers are appointed to guide groups to revive power and water within the districts of Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and East Godavari.
Given that over 5 hundred thousand people have visited relief and rehabilitation centres, the CM said fifty|that fifty} tonnes of material from Vijayawada and 50 tonnes from Rajahmundry has been airlifted to supply food at the camps.
Effected family will get 1kg Sugar, 25kg Rice, and 5 L Kerosene and for fishermen and weavers whose work has been affected, 50 kg rice, 5L kerosene, , and 1 kg sugar will be provided.
