Special trains to clear festive season rush

TRAINKolkata, Sept 12: Special trains will be run to clear the festive season rush, authorities aforesaid.

The South eastern Railway can run 9 pairs of Weekly Superfast Premium Specials between Santragachi and Puri and seventeen pairs of Bi-weekly Superfast Janasadharan Specials between Santragachi and Chennai between September eighteen and Nov fifteen with a read to clear the additional rush for the following festive season.

A south eastern Railway media unharness aforesaid reservation of the premium special between Santragachi and Puri will be created through net and dynamic fare charged.

The 02837 Santragachi-Puri Weekly Superfast Premium Special can leave Santragachi at 8.40 a.m. each Thursday and reach Puri at 4 a.m. Friday.

On the come back journey, 02838 Puri-Santragachi Weekly Premium Special can leave Puri at 5.30 a.m. each Friday and make Santragachi at 2.25 a.m. the same day.

The Weekly Premium Special, comprising twelve coaches of sleeper and AC-3 categories, can have stoppages at Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Khurda Road.

The 02807 Superfast Bi-weekly Janasadharan Special can leave Santragachi at nine p.m. each Mon and Thursday reaching Chennai at 10.45 p.m. on the next day.

The come back journey can see the 02808 Superfast Bi-weekly Janasadharan Special exploit Chennai at 7.45 a.m. each Wed and Saturday and arrive Santragachi at 10.25 a.m. the next day.

The train contains eighteen coaches providing unreserved general category facility.

It will have stoppages at Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Bramhapur, Palasa, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Duvadda, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore and Gudur.
