New Delhi, March 13: The timing for the amendment of Guard ceremony that takes place each Saturday at Rashtrapati Bhavan can change March 15 forward, it was announced Thursday.
The ceremony can currently take place between 8 a.m. and 8.40 a.m. from March 15 to Aug 14, as against the sooner schedule of 10 a.m., a statement here aforesaid.
The ceremony, a military tradition, is control within the courtyard of Rashtrapati Bhavan and involves the periodic change of guard, once a recent unit of troops takes charge.
Opened for public viewing in 2007, the ceremony was revamped and resettled in Dec 2012, when President Pranab Mukherjee assumed workplace to create it visually more appealing and public-friendly.
