SOOBhubaneswar, April 5: Congress president Sonia Gandhi Saturday spoke of land reforms and women’s safety at a rally in Odisha’s Khariar Nuapada district and attacked the BJP, saying it had created allegations without any proof.

“The Congress has invariably fought for the ‘aam aadmi’, specially the Dalits, the poor, the adivasis and therefore the backward classes,” she said.

Gandhi aforesaid the funds provided by the central government haven’t been adequately utilized by the ruling Biju Janata dal in Odisha.

She pledged to fight for the problems of the poor.

Highlighting the Congress manifesto, she said: “We promise that everyone can get free health facilities, medicines and treatment in hospitals.”

She aforesaid the Congress-led UPA government has worked for the development of people in the last 10 years.
