New Delhi, Dec 9: The Supreme Court Monday issued notice to Sahara group chief Subrata Roy on why criminal contempt proceedings shouldn’t be initiated against him for allegedly meddling within the investigations into the cash trails in 2G scam.

The apex court bench headed by Justice G.S. Singhvi issued the contempt notice whereas upholding the maintainability of the contempt plea by social control board of directors (ED) official Rajeshwar Singh.
