Ansari condoles Laxman’s death

RK-LNew Delhi, Jan 27: Vice president Mohmad Hamid Ansari Mon condoled the death of famous cartoonist R.K. Laxman saying “he touched lives of millions by his incisive humour”.

“Laxman, best referred to as the creator of ‘The Common man’, touched the lives of millions of our countrymen by his incisive humour and Asocially relevant messages expressed through his vastly standard cartoons,” Ansari aforesaid in a statement.

“I am deeply saddened at the decease of R.K. Laxman, the foremost eminent cartoonist of our country in recent times.

“I convey my earnest condolences to the bereft family. I pray to the Almighty to present them strength and courage in touch with their loss,” he added.

Laxman died in a personal hospital in Pune Mon evening when a brief sickness. He was 94.
