New Delhi, Dec eighteen:Dense fog Dense fog swallowed the national capital Wed morning, delaying trains, and flights. The traffic here crawled.

According to the India meteorological Department (IMD), visibility dropped to but 50 metres in some components of the town at 8.30 a.m.

As a result, over 3 dozen incoming and outgoing trains were delayed or had to be rescheduled.

“There are thirty seven trains which are running late by 2 to 11 hours and one has been cancelled,” aforesaid Northern Railway official.

The heavy fog also affected flights, resulting in suspension of operations at the solon International airport for over an hour Wed morning.

“We had to suspend operations due to weather and poor visibility for about an hour and a 0.5. The flights resumed at 8.30 a.m. after visibility improved,” aforesaid Kapil Sabarwal, proponent of the airport.

Traffic was heavy on many arterial roads of the town as motorists drove with further caution.

The IMD has forecast a sunny and clear afternoon and said the fog is about to come within the evening.

“The afternoon are going to be sunny however there’ll be significant fog late evening,” aforesaid an IMD official, adding that the day’s most temperature can settle around 23 degrees Celsius.

Wednesday’s minimum temperature was a notch higher than the season’s average at 8.9 degrees Celsius.

The national capital has been witnessing dense fog since Mon and as per the Met workplace, there’ll be no respite for the next few days.

Tuesday’s most temperature was recorded at twenty two.6 degrees stargazer, average for now of the season. The minimum settled a notch higher than season’s average at nine degrees stargazer.
