Vicky Kaushal Is Touching Down In “City No 10” For Sam Bahadur

Vicky Kaushal, who was last seen in Govinda Naam Mera, is back at work. The actor, on Thursday, shared an update on his work-in-progress film Sam Bahadur. The Meghna Gulzar directorial went on floors in August last year. Till now, it has been shot in nine cities and the crew touched down at “city number 10” today. Vicky Kaushal updated his Instagram timeline with a selfie that appears to be from a flight. He is seen wearing a pastel-shade sweatshirt, a black cap and a pair of shades. “Touchdown city no.10… Time to meet Sam again! Sam Bahadur,” the actor wrote in the caption. FYI, Sam Bahadur is the biopic of the late Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. It also stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh.

Sam Bahadur stars Vicky Kaushal in the titular role. Recently, he shared a photo of himself with the statue of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. “Sam,” he captioned the picture and added a house and a red heart icon.

 

Vicky Kaushal and the makers of Sam Bahadur announced the release date of the film in December last year. Sharing a teaser, Vicky Kaushal wrote, “365 days to go… Sam Bahadur in cinemas 1.12.2023.”

 

A few months ago, Vicky Kaushal posted a set of pictures of himself with director Meghna Gulzar and the rest of the crew members from the set of the film. He wrote, “After more than 2 months of relentless work across 5 cities… it’s a schedule wrap for the bahadurs!!! Few more cities and a few more months to go. See you soon Team, to continue our journey of making Sam Bahadur!”

Vicky Kaushal also marked four years of his blockbuster Uri: The Surgical Strike this week. The actor shared a still from the film, in which he played the role of an Army officer, and wrote: “Forever grateful for all the JOSH! 4 years of URI.” His wife, actress Katrina Kaif, was all hearts for the post. On the work front, Vicky Kaushal is known for his performances in movies such as Uri: The Surgical Strike, Masaan, and Sardar Udham, among others. His last project – Govinda Naam Mera – was with Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani. It was released on Disney+Hotstar.
