Rishabh Pant car accident: R. Ashwin, Shaheen Shah Afridi and others pray for wicketkeeper’s speedy recovery

Indian cricketers Ravichandran Ashwin, Suryakumar Yadav and other members of the cricket fraternity came together and prayed for the speedy recovery of Rishabh Pant after his horrific car accident on Friday morning. Pant’s car collided with a divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway.

By India Today Web Desk: India cricketers Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi and other from the cricketing fraternity has wished Rishabh Pant a speedy recovery after his horrific car accident on Friday morning.

Pant met with the accident as his car collided with a divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway in the early hours of the morning of 30th December. The vehicle caught fire on impact and was completely burned down.

According to eyewitnesses, Pant’s car collided with the railing and caught fire. With great difficulty, the fire was brought under control. Simultaneously, Rishabh Pant, who was severely injured in the accident, was taken to Saksham Hospital on Delhi Road.

Pant shattered the glass window of his car and escaped just in time to avoid what could have been a fatal accident. Pant was on his way to Roorkee and was driving alone at the time of the accident.

Wishes have been pouring in from the cricket fraternity as current and former players extended their support to Pant as he recovers from the incident.

Ashwin urged everyone to pray for the 25-year-old’s recovery from the accident.

Afridi said that he was praying for the recovery of Pant on Twitter.

“Praying for @RishabhPant17,” said Afridi on Twitter.

Shami also wished a speedy recovery for Pant on Twitter.

“Get well soon bhai Allah sab thik karega @RishabhPant17,” said Shami.

The BCCI secretary Jay Shah had issued a statement on Twitter saying that they were monitoring Pant’s progress and will offer him all the support during his recovery from the accident. Shah also said that the 25-year-old is currently stable and will undergo scans.
