New Delhi, Aug 23, 2016: Modi condoles former Singapore President Nathan’s dying. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday condoled the demise of former Singapore President S.R. Nathan saying the nation has misplaced a distinguished chief.
“Saddened by the demise of former Singapore President S.R. Nathan. Singapore has misplaced a distinguished chief who was extensively admired,” Modi tweeted.
“We in India be part of the folks of Singapore in deeply mourning the passing away of Nathan. Condolences to his family,” he mentioned in one other tweet.
Nathan, who was President of Singapore from 1999 to 2011, died on Monday on the age of 92.
