Guwahati, Aug 13, 2016: Accidental firing killed Assam Policeman . An Assam Police Battalion personnel was killed and one other injured in an accidental firing at Karbi Anglong district in Assam on Saturday morning, police stated.

Police mentioned the firing came about at Rongbongway police station in Karbi Anglong, about 250 kms from Guwahati. An investigation was on to determine additional leads.
“There was an accidental firing within the barrack of jawans inside Rongbongway police station. Two jawans have been injured and certainly one of them was declared introduced useless by the medical doctors in an area hospital,” a police official stated when Accidental firing killed Assam Policeman.
“The opposite jawan is being shifted to the Guwahati Medical School and Hospital (GMCH),” he mentioned.
