In response to media stories, in an interview, Naseeruddin was quoted as saying: “It was the 1970s when mediocrity came in Hindi movies. That is when the actor known as Rajesh Khanna joined the trade. For all his success, I feel Mr. Khanna was a really limited actor. In actual fact, he was a poor actor.
