New Delhi, April 25 : The Old Delhi High Court on Monday asked the town government to carry a gathering among every week with representatives of app-based taxi aggregators Ola and Uber to determine if they were inquisitive about obtaining licence from the govt..

The Old Delhi government informed  the court through an legal document that “the alleged unlicenced aggregators, Ola and Uber, are in operation lawlessly as their applications for licence were rejected by the transport department (on June twenty eight, 2015)”.

Ola and UberJustice J.R. Midha asked the Old Delhi government to additionally embrace within the meeting another transport service supplier that offers autorickshaw service through an app known as ‘Jugnoo‘.

The court was hearing a plea filed by Magic Sewa Pvt. Ltd., a radio taxi service operator, alleging that Ola and Uber were overcharging and indiscriminately applying surge rates throughout the odd-even traffic theme.

It claimed that Ola and Uber were wild flouting the government’s notification fixing the fares of economy taxis at Rs.12.5 per km, as they were truly charging Rs.40-50 per km within the name of surge valuation.

The court sought-after a standing report from the govt. on the meeting by May ten.
