Srinagar, Aug 13: A minimum of eleven people were injured during a bomb explosion during a masjid compound in Kashmir’s Shopian district on Thursday, an official said.
“Eleven people were disabled during a bomb explosion after they came out of the Jamia Trenz masjid in Shopian once giving morning prayers.
“The ‘Nimazis’ (those who provide daily Muslim prayers) discovered an inverted metallic tumbler within the masjid compound. Once one among them tried to show the tumbler straight, the bomb unbroken under that exploded,” a senior police official told.
On Wednesday, four people, together with an officer of the Jammu and Kashmir police, 2 CRPF troopers and a civilian, were injured in Khanyar space here once militants hurled a bomb at a patrol party of the security forces.
