Maoists torch eight vehicles in Bihar

BIHAPatna, June 06: Maoists attack fire eight vehicles of a non-public construction company in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district and molested 2 of its guards for not paying the levy they had demanded, police said on Saturday.

Muzaffarpur Superintendent of Police Ranjit Kumar Mishra told that a group of over fifty armed Maoists attacked the camp of Gamon India construction close to Kamtaul village late on Friday.

Mishra said police have detained 3 people during this association.

Maoists in rural areas across Bihar are paid a levy by personal construction corporations, contractors, traders, and businessmen.

Muzaffarpur is one among the Maoists affected districts of north Bihar.
