Chennai, Feb 20: Gypsum-based wall/roof building panel and plaster maker FACT-RCF Building products Ltd. (FRBPL) is expecting to ink a contract with Tata Housing for supply its products, a prime company official has aforesaid.
He conjointly aforesaid people are currently staring at the mineral panels for building their homes and the company is popularising the merchandise among architects, builders et al..
“The negotiations are on with Tata Housing. we hope to conclude the negotiations shortly and ink the deal,” C.P. Dinesh, director of FRBPL told here Thursday.
The company could be a 50:50 venture between Kochi-based Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd. and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilisers Ltd (RCF) to create glass fiber bolstered mineral (GFRG) panels for building comes.
Dinesh aforesaid their plant in Kerala incorporates a capability of 1.4 million sq.mtr once a year and began production in 2012.
According to Dinesh, Tata Housing is progressing to construct ground and four buildings and want GFRG panels in giant numbers.
He aforesaid around Rs.150 crore has been invested with by the 2 promoters within the project.
“We are staring at government, academic establishments and different mass housing comes. Meanwhile, we have gotten orders from people,” Dinesh aforesaid.
In Kerala, a 2,500 sq.ft house was in-built sixty days exploitation our panels, he said.
“Currently, our order book position is around 27,000 sq.mtrs. we conjointly supply project management practice services,” he said.
According to him, buildings made with GRFG panels would supply construction price advantage of around twenty p.c.
“In addition, the panels would occupy less footprint there by increasing the carpet space for usage. Painting prices will be less because the walls won’t absorb paints just like the typical brick walls,” Dinesh aforesaid.
Australian company fast Building Systems has provided the technology for wall panels and the Indian Institute of Technology – Madras have developed the technology for exploitation GRFG panels for building roofs, he added.
Gypsum is an industrial waste from fertilizer units that is being sought to be used for construction.
