BJP’s no to Akali demand for release of Khalistanis

AMIT-SSHyderabad, Jan 08: The BJP does not believe the demand of the Shiromani Akali dal (SAD) to unharness thirteen Khalistani terrorists serving life sentence in 5 states, BJP president Amit Shah aforesaid Thursday.

“The BJP does not believe this,” he told a press conference here, once asked regarding the request from its ally.

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has reportedly written to the chief ministers of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Karnataka and Gujarat and the Lt Governor of Delhi and Chandigarh’s administrator seeking “premature release” of the prisoners.

On government formation in Jammu and Kashmir, Shah aforesaid talks were on with alternative parties.

He denied that article 370 of the constitution, which supplies special standing to the state, or the other issue was proving a hurdle in government formation.

“Talks are on. there’s no issue,” he said.

He aforesaid though repealing article 370 was on the Bharatiya Janata Party’s agenda, it will take a call on the difficulty solely once talks with potential allies in Kashmir.

“We haven’t any clear majority. the govt. must be fashioned. we are discussing with alternative parties. we will decide. we won’t hide. we’ve to position it before the nation,” he added.

Shah aforesaid the Modi government had created an environment of confidence within the country and people currently believed that a modification may be caused.

Claiming that the govt. had succeeded in dominant costs, he aforesaid the typical monthly budget of a family had come back down by Rs.1,500 to Rs.3,500.

On delivery back black cash stashed abroad, Shah aforesaid the govt. had created progress. He aforesaid it had been for the Supreme Court and Special Investigation Team (SIT) to create public the names of account holders.
