Patna, Nov 01: At least six people, including 3 kids, were killed and 5 others went missing once a boat capsized in Bihar’s Jamui district Sat, police aforesaid.
The accident occurred in Gahi Dam.
“Six bodies were recovered from the dam by villagers and 5 others are missing,” a policeman aforesaid.
According to police, sixteen people were on the boat once it capsized in the dam in Maoist affected Jamui, about two hundred km from here.
Five people swam to safety, the officer aforesaid.
The district administration has sought the National Disaster Response Force’s help within the search mission, disaster management department principal secretary Vayasji aforesaid.
