James Wan is returning to The Conjuring to direct its 2nd installment. According to Variety, James wanhas signed a first-look deal with New Line. The release date of the movie – which originally starred Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga – was originally set for October 2015 but was recently pushed back to 2016.
The Conjuring proved a hit in the last year, raking in $318 million worldwide.
Prequel Annabelle was released earlier this month, concerning the origins of the creepy doll featured in the original film.
