Chennai, Sept 29: Tamil Nadu finance minister O. Panneerselvam was Monday sworn in because the new chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
Panneerselvam, 63, elective leader of the AIADMK legislature party Sunday evening, succeeds J. Jayalalithaa, who was sentenced to jail for four years Sat for indulgence in corruption.
Several AIADMK legislators were conjointly sworn in as ministers.
