Calcutta HC upholds CID probe, filing of FIR against Tapas Paul

TAPASKolkata, Sept 25: In a setback to the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal, the Kolkata high court Th directed filing of an 1st data report and a CID probe into Trinamool Congress MP Tapas Paul’s kill and rape remarks.

Rejecting the appeals by Paul and the regime, the court Justice Nishita Mhatre upheld the only bench of Justice Dipankar Datta’s order, directive a CID probe against the actor-turned-politician for in public exhorting his party staff to kill CPI-M activists and unleash his boys to rape their ladies.

Justice Mhatre, detected the appeals anew once a division bench of Justice Girish Chandra Gupta and Justice Tapabrata Chakraborty delivered a split finding.Justice Mhatre, however, has processed the probe by the Criminal Investigation Department won’t be monitored by the court.
