Pretoria, Sept 10: An “exceptional” 232-carat white diamond has been discovered at South Africa’s most famous Cullinan mine, Petra Diamonds company aforesaid Tuesday.
“The stone is… a diamond of remarkable size and clarity, and is a brilliant example of the big, top quality diamonds that the mine is thought,” the diamond miner aforesaid.
The company aforesaid it expected the diamond to be sold by the top of its current financial year.
The Cullinan mine is thought because the supply of the biggest rough gem diamond ever found. Unearthed in 1905, the 3,106-carat gem was remove two for Britain’s Crown Jewels.
