Thiruvananthapuram, Dec sixteen: The titular maharajah of Travancore Uthradom Thirunal Marthanda Varma, 91, died early Monday at a personal hospital here because of age connected malady, doctors aforesaid.
Uthradom Thirunal was the younger brother of the last ruling monarch of the Travancore Kingdom maharaja Chitra Thirunal avatar Varma.
Though having no real body power, he control the celebrated post of the guardian of the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, beaked because the richest temple within the country.
He is survived by a son and a female offspring.
The authorities declared a public vacation as a mark of relevance the late maharaja.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy who was in Delhi for official work has curtail his trip and can attend his ceremony here at his palace in afternoon.
He are going to be accorded a state ceremony.
