New Delhi, November 7 Jamia Millia Islamia has launched a mobile dental unit to supply primary dental healthcare to people living around the varsity, an officer said Wednesday.
The “Mobile Dental Clinic” bus, includes 2 dental chairs as also a lcd tv, DVD players and a public address system. It will seat about twenty people at a time and also serve as an area where people may be educated about oral hygiene It is an integrated mobile clinic where doctors among the faculty of dentistry and students under training can provide treatment and awareness,” Simi Malhotra, the varsity’s media co-ordinator.
Dental Treatment would be provided free of cost; in time, the bus is expected to foray into other parts of the capital also.
